Disney's All Star Movies Resort Pros and Cons

The Pros - You are welcomed into a world of cinematic wonder, evident in its larger-than-life building icons that pay homage to beloved Disney and Pixar movies. Beyond its cleanliness, the resort dazzles with two inviting pools set against the backdrop of vibrant buildings adorned with these iconic, oversized figures. Although it's a value resort, it doesn't skimp on premium perks, offering amenities like Early Theme Park Entry and complimentary transportation to Disney theme parks. The combination of free parking throughout the Disney World Resort and a handy mini-fridge in every room underscores the resort's commitment to guest comfort and value for you.

The Cons - While offering a myriad of benefits, there are certain aspects to consider. Firstly, the rooms, sized at 260 square feet, are compact and primarily designed for guests who are either budget-conscious or plan to spend the majority of their time exploring the theme parks, water parks or other entertainment. During quieter periods, it's common for the All-Star resorts to consolidate bus services, which can mean that All-Star Movies becomes the final stop, possibly adding a bit more wait time for guests. Pool enthusiasts might be disappointed to note the absence of slides in the resort's pools. While there's a convenient food court for meals and quick bites, those looking for a more refined dining experience might miss the presence of a table-service restaurant. Additionally, it's worth noting that All-Star Movies is sometimes a touch pricier than its counterparts, All-Star Sports or All-Star Music Resorts.

Our Opinion - The All-Star Movies resort and Art of Animation Resort are the most "Disney" of any of the official Disney World hotels and we love that! We also love the fact that Disney's All-Star Resort is clean, fun, and has all the Disney benefits at price that normal people can afford. It may make sense to splurge on a moderate or deluxe hotel if you'll spend enough time at the resort to enjoy the amenities, but the value resorts are a great fit for guests who spend almost all of their waking hours in the theme parks. It would be nice if the pool had a slide but that is our only real complaint.
