Ian's Tip for A Better Orlando Trip: Know Your Sunscreen

Your Disney World or Universal Orlando vacation is not the time to experiment with a new sunscreen. Know what works for you and your family BEFORE you go. Don't get badly burned at Blizzard Beach or Volcano Bay, baby!

Tip for A Better Disney World or Universal Orlando Trip: Know Your Sunscreen!

Take a few minutes and educate yourself about SPF (higher isn't always better), UVA and UVB protection AND the LIE of "waterproof" SUNSCREEN. It's hot, humid, and sweaty - especially at the water parks.

Oh, and repeat after me: "Re-apply, re-apply, re-apply."

Toni's Tip for a Better Trip - Enjoy some down-time at the pool!

Yes, the theme parks are awesome but please be sure to set aside some time to hang out at the pool.  The Disney and Universal Orlando Resorts have themed pools that range from cute and simple to very elaborate. Got to have that big water slide? Disney's Moderate and Deluxe Resorts have them!  Want to hear music underwater?  You can do that at Universal's Hard Rock Hotel or Disney's Art of Animation resort.  Traveling in the winter and still want to take a short dip? You are in luck; the pools are heated to a comfortable 82 degrees year round.

Did you know that surveys find that 85% of kids want to go swimming and have pool time as part of their vacation?

Many resorts also have poolside games to entertain the kiddos.  Of course, if you're hoping to enjoy a mid-day nap, these activities are something to keep in mind when you're booking a pool view room.  You might prefer a room at a quieter part of the resort.
