Best Western Lake Buena Vista is a lovely 19-story tower hotel with 325 rooms and suites and is an economical alternative to the Disney World value resorts. Every room has a furnished balcony and the hotel features a beautiful lobby, interior walkways, on-site dining, and a nice swimming pool area. The property is lush and offers some great views of the Disney Springs area which is within walking distance of the hotel though shuttle service is offered in the evening.
Exclusive Disney Benefits: As one of the seven Disney Springs Good Neighbor hotels, this resort offers benefits that you cannot get at most non-Disney hotels. This hotel can be booked as part of a Disney World vacation package and has partnered with Disney to offer some wonderful benefits usually only available to guests at the official on-site hotels like:
Complimentary bus transportation to the Disney theme parks,
Extra Magic Hours access to the Disney World theme parks
The ability to book FastPass+ reservations 60-days prior to arrival (30 days ahead of the general public) when your package includes theme park admission tickets.
Guests at this hotel receive a Disney Springs Passport to Savings booklet with Disney Springs discount.
Best Western Lake Buena Vista Pro & Con
Advantages: Most of the value hotels at the Disney World resort are large with multiple buildings and external walkways so it can be a bit of a hike to get to transportation or the food court but the Best Western Lake Buena Vista is a tower hotel with internal halls and a spacious lobby featuring a Disney gift shop and restaurants. The small but nice pool is just steps from the buildings. The rooms have balconies and in-room coffee makers which are both something you don’t get in the Disney value resorts; some rooms also have a microwave oven. Rooms have two queen beds or one King bed, where some of the Disney All-Star Resorts still have two full-size beds in their rooms. These features and the smaller size of the hotel are really wonderful for families with small children, guests with mobility issues and anyone who appreciates the convenience of having everything in one place. All of the staff I have encountered have been very friendly, helpful and professional. Proximity to Disney Springs is another nice feature of this hotel. Very reasonable daily parking fee. The transportation to the Disney theme parks is reliable, has great hours and is far, far superior to that of most off-site hotels that advertise shuttles. You do not pay daily resort fees at this location when booked as part of a Disney vacation package; daily resort fees apply when booked separately.
Disadvantages: The hotel is adding a second tower so onsite construction will be something to consider for late 2018 and 2019 but that may make this a good deal, especially if you spend most of your daylight hours in the theme parks. Parking fees apply. Disney Magical Express airport transportation and Disney Dining Plans are not available at this hotel. The rooms are a little dated but are clean and will be renovated when the new tower is done. Lacks the Disney themes found at the official Disney World hotels.

Our Opinion of Best Western Lake Buena Vista - Disney Springs
We like the Best Western Lake Buena Vista because it is a value hotel option that offers some great features and amenities and is often the lowest priced hotel that offers exclusive Disney resort benefits. Queen beds and balconies are really nice features in a budget conscience hotel. The low parking fee is a great deal for guests who drive though the lack of airport transportation will create an added expense for guests who do not have a vehicle. All of our encounters with the staff have been genuinely friendly and helpful. Construction and rooms that are showing signs of wear will put off some guests but I stay regularly at the Disney value resorts and would be quite comfortable here. The Disney Springs resort area is safe and convenient and is lovely with big trees and wide sidewalks. It is a great option if you want a comfortable and convenient hotel with exclusive Disney hotel perks and benefits but guests looking for a Disney themed experience may be happier at one of the Disney World value resorts.
