Disney's Pop Century Resort - a Disney World value resort - is a clean, comfortable hotel with a bright and colorful theme that celebrates the 20th century styles and fads. Though the rooms are basic, the resort has lots of great benefits like poolside movies and transportation to the theme parks.

Advantages - The Disney value resorts are the most economical hotels on Disney property but with many benefits found at the more expensive resorts - things like airport and theme park transportation, poolside movies and activites, and great Disney theming. Pop Century doesn't share theme park buses with any other resorts. Because the value resorts don't have table-service restaurants, the food court has more variety than some of the more expensive resorts and Pop Century's food court is generally considered the best of the value resorts.

Disadvantages - The value resort rooms are on the small side and may be a bit basic. There is a food court but the resort does not have a table-service restaurant. Most of the rooms have double beds and the pools, while nicely themed, do not have pool slides. Depending on the promotion, Pop Century sometimes costs a little more than the All-Star Resorts.

Guests may use Disney's Magical Express - a shuttle bus service included in your reservation - between the Orlando International Airport and Disney's Pop Century Resort. Disney buses are available to take Pop Century resort guests to the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom theme parks, Typhoon Lagoon & Blizzard Beach Water Parks, and Downtown Disney.

Our Opinion of Disney's Pop Century Resort

We are big fans of the Disney World Value Resorts - they provide comfortable accomodations with great Disney benefits at a reasonable price. If the rooms are a bit small, they are certainly big enough for guests who spend most of their time in the theme parks. Pop Century is one of the most popular value resorts because of its food court and the fact that it does not share transportation with any other hotel.
