Walt Disney World Marinas and Boat Rental

Florida is a water lovers paradise but many people do not realize that Walt Disney World Resort has a whole fleet of personal watercraft available for rent by the hour and by the day for use in the beautiful Disney lakes, lagoons, and bays. If you own a boat or have a lot of boating experiences, you might be a little disappointed by the marina experience at Disneyworld because the boats have speed governors and the channels may seem a bit tame, but getting out on the water is always good! On the other hand, those with little or no experience will love the opportunity to try boating in a safe environment and with exceptionally well maintained equipment. The Disney water patrol is nearby to help out if there is any problem – just wave your arms and they are there in a flash.

Sea Raycer at Walt Disney World Resort.

The Sea Raycers are little two person boats that are more enclosed than a jet ski; they also are not as fast as a jet ski. This is a great, safe opportunity for teens to get out and have some fun on their own. Teens must be at least 12 years old and 5-feet tall to drive the Sea Raycers but younger teens may ride along.  There is a 320 pound maximum combine weight limit for the SeaRaycers.

Renting a kayak is an inexpensive and quietly enjoyable way to enjoy the water, just be aware that you will almost certainly get your shorts or pants wet in the process.

Types of rental boats available: Sea Raycers by Sea Ray, sailboats, SunTRACKER pontoon boats, Boston Whaler Montauk boats, pedal boats, kayaks, and canoes – although all of these may not be available at every marina.  The driver must be at least 18 years old.

Watercraft can be rented as available from the marinas on a walk-up basis. A Parent or Guardian must sign a waiver for children ages 18 or younger.  You will have to present your Disney resort Magic Band or a driver's license to rent a boat.
