The ESPN Wide World of Sports encompasses 2000 acres of the Walt Disney World Resort and hosts a myriad of professional and amateur events. Here is some of what you will find at this impressive sports complex:
- Major league sized Baseball fields
- 6 NBA sized Basketball Courts
- 2 Little League Fields
- 4 Softball Fields with lighting
- 12 Hard-Tru tennis courts
- 400 meter track and field complex
- 6 beach volleyball courts
The Atlanta Braves have held their spring training here for 9 years; you might be able to check out a game if you are visiting in March. See:

The NBA, NCAA, NFL, and PGA all host annual events here, although these generally require a special events ticket. The Amateur Athletic Union now makes Disney's Wide World of Sports its home and most amateur events are included in the General Spectator Admission ticket. You can use a “plus” from your Water Park Fun & More ticket add-on, if you have an extra you are not using. Otherwise, save it for the more expensive water park or Disney Quest admissions. |
