DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park Offers a World of Virtual Fun

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Fantasy adventures featuring cutting-edge virtual reality technology and classic Disney worlds await guests of all ages when they step inside DisneyQuest, a five-story, indoor interactive theme park that combines Disney's magic with state-of-the-art immersive technologies at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Walt Disney Imagineering, the company's R&D and theme park design group, has created an entertaining mix of adventures to be enjoyed by the entire family at Disney Quest:

•  Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for Buccaneer Gold takes a crew of four into a 3-D world of plundered towns, fortress islands and erupting volcanoes for an action-packed, five-minutes of fun.

•  SongMaker puts guests who want to explore their vocal talent right inside a "studio" where they can combine lyrics and music styles to create their one-of-a-kind song.

•  Virtual Jungle Cruise allows guests to climb aboard a real river raft, grab a paddle and shoot the rapids.

•  Cyber Space Mountain is a design-it-yourself virtual roller coaster that can be as tame or as wild as your imagination, with loops, turns and dips delivered by a high-tech motion simulator.

•  Mighty Ducks Pinball Slam lets guests become a human pinball game.

•  Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride takes guests on a journey in the sky through the streets of Agrabah.

The thrills and adventures of DisneyQuest are delivered in an awe-inspiring 100,000-square-foot purple and aquamarine building, a standout structure within the exciting Downtown Disney West Side entertainment district.

Guests entering DisneyQuest begin their journey at the Ventureport , a crossroads that leads to four distinct entertainment environments: the Explore Zone , a virtual adventureland where guests are immersed in some of their favorite Disney stories; the Score Zone, a superhero competition city where guests can match their game playing skills against the best; the Create Zone, a private "Imagineering" studio for artistic self-expression and invention; and the Replay Zone, a carnival on the moon where guests experience a retro-futuristic spin on classic rides and games.

DisneyQuest has two food and beverage areas operated by The Cheesecake Factory, offering guests a quick gourmet fix of fresh salads, sandwiches, indulgent desserts and drinks. An on-site retail shop offers a wide variety of DisneyQuest merchandise.

DisneyQuest is open daily from 11:30 a.m. until midnight Friday and Saturday, and 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. Admission is $37.28 (including tax) for adults and $30.89 (including tax) for children ages 3-9. All children ages 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult. DisneyQuest is an ideal venue for group events as well.
