ORLANDO, Fla. (May 8, 2007) – Blue Man Group, the wildly successful live entertainment experience, opened to the public on June 6 at Universal CityWalk.

The arrival of Blue Man Group – which occupies the state-of-the-art Sharp AQUOS Theatre –  adds an entirely new dimension in live entertainment for Universal Orlando theme park guests and Florida residents.

The new show combines music, comedy and multimedia theatrics to create the blissful party atmosphere that is a Blue Man Group trademark. The production has been custom-designed for Universal Orlando and includes elements of the group's existing shows as well as newly created material exclusive to this production.

Blue Man Group will perform continuously throughout the week from Universal Orlando Resort's Sharp AQUOS Theatre. The 1,000-seat theater, complete with a 30-foot-tall Blue Man façade is accessible from both Universal CityWalk and Universal Studios theme park. The façade's large size makes Blue Man visible from nearly everywhere in CityWalk, adding to the distinct variety offered by the already established hotels, restaurants, clubs, theaters, shops, and theme parks.

The Blue Man Group show is a separately ticketed event with tickets starting at $59 for adults and $49 for children ages 3-9, combination theme park admission and show tickets from $112 for adults and $101 for children.

Important Tips

Is Blue Man Group appropriate for children? The show is “family friendly”, the lights, color, showmanship, and humor will be enjoyed by a wide spectrum of ages. The performance will be too long to hold the attention of children under three years of age.

Blue Man Group uses a variety of materials and props to enhance the performance. Seats closet to the stage are referred to as the “Poncho Section” – if your ticket is in this area, you will be provided a poncho, just in case some of these materials extend past the stage and on to the audience area. We recommend casual attire.

The Sharp Aquos Theatre is located between the Hard Rock Café and the main entrance to Universal Studios Florida.
Each performer requires about one hour to get into full costume prior to a performance – the blue grease paint worn on their heads is designed to stay wet throughout the show.
